Bargain Boutique

After 35 years of operation, we have made the decision to close the Bargain Boutique and Thrift Shop.

Our decision did not come easily. However, market conditions have permanently changed the sales landscape. The growth of online fashion marketplaces like Poshmark, the rise of fast casual clothing, and the growth of online retailers like Amazon have resulted in a significant loss of sales over time.

Senior Concerns has operated its Bargain Boutique and Thrift Shop at 80 E. Hillcrest in the Community Conscience Building since 1989. Through Community Conscience’s generous program of free rent for community nonprofits, we were able to invest profits from the store directly into building new programs and services for our communities’ seniors and family caregivers.

We are deeply indebted to Community Conscience, our staff member Irene, our wonderful volunteers, our generous donors and our loyal patrons.

We will cease accepting donations beginning Saturday April 6th. The store will run a series of sales in the coming weeks for all our valued customers who have supported us through the years. Stay tuned for dates and time.
