Welcome to Senior Concerns

Adult Day Center

Senior Concerns Adult Day Center serves the community’s special-need seniors by improving their quality of life through therapeutic recreation, education and nutrition services, along with opportunities to socialize in a warm and caring environment. We offer affordable programs for older adults who cannot be left at home alone because of medical or safety issues and have become dependent on another for the majority of their care.

The center offers three unique programs:

FunSeekers, A safe non-judgmental environment for people with mild cognitive impairment or those with no memory impairment but have physical limitations due to stroke, traumatic brain injury or Parkinson's disease. Activities include field trips, discussion groups, educational programs give by local experts on travel, genealogy, etc. Exercise programs are offered daily.

Fitzgerald WingFitzgerald Program is a nurturing environment for people needing a moderate level of care while providing social interaction, physical and mental stimulation. Activities include arts and crafts, reminiscence groups, pet therapy, exercise and intergenerational activities.

CatlinWing.jpgFriendship Program in the Catlin Wing, is for seniors in need of a greater level of care and supervision due to more advanced memory or physical impairment. Activities include sensory stimulation; one on one staff interaction; hand-eye coordination exercises, pet therapy and intergenerational visits.

Days of attendance and placement in the appropriate program will be discussed during the initial assessment by the director.

  • Transportation to and from the center may be provided by the participant’s family or through Dial-a-Ride program.
  • Meals include a light healthy continental breakfast for those participants arriving early,a nutritious hot lunch and afternoon snacks.
