Senior Concerns’ Bargain Boutique and Thrift Store will host a special seminar on “”The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing,” on Thursday, November 5, 2015, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

Come join Teine (Dana) Kenny, Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) and founder of organize this, and Andrea Gallagher, President of Senior Concerns, for a fun and interactive presentation that will get you motivated to clean out your closets and improve your quality of life. The seminar, based on the best-selling book of the same name, will focus on 8 decluttering lessons that can change your life, and give you the tools you need to declutter your home in a positive and fun way.

Teine (Dana) Kenny, CPO, founded organize this in 2004 with the mission to get people organized while helping them to understand the root behaviors that contribute to disorganization. Based in Simi Valley, organizethis embraces the Psychology of organizing. According to Teine, being disorganized is not a moral flaw. It’s a collection of flawed systems and bad habits that keep you less productive than you could be.

The seminar is sponsored by Senior Concerns’ Bargain Boutique and Thrift Store, where we hope that after you’ve decluttered you will bring your “loved and thanked” items so that others may put them to good use. Proceeds from the Bargain Boutique help fund Senior Concerns programs and services.

Refreshments, including wine and cheese, will be served. A donation of $10 for refreshments is appreciated. The best-selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, will be for sale for $10.

Seating is limited. To make a reservation, please contact Senior Concerns at 805-497-0189.
