Senior Concerns and Mobility Management Partners will host a free seminar on Ventura County’s new Mileage Reimbursement Program on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, 5:30 p.m. at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road in Thousand Oaks. The Mileage Reimbursement Program is a rider-centered program designed to reimburse mileage to drivers who drive seniors to medical appointments, shopping and other errands. The goal of the program is to make it easier for seniors to get around in Ventura County.

Funded for two years through the Ventura County Transportation Committee, the new Mileage Reimbursement Program will reimburse senior riders at 35 cents a mile up to 100 miles a month based on need. The rider will then turn the reimbursements over to their drivers. The program is open to seniors who are 65 or older, reside in Ventura County, and have an interest in reimbursing someone for driving them. To be eligible to participate seniors must first attend the How to Participate Seminar.

Seating is limited. To make a reservation, please contact Senior Concerns at 805-497-0189.
