As a result of Subaru’s recent Share the Love Campaign, Ladin Subaru in Thousand Oaks and Subaru of America have partnered to provide a grant of $56,875 to Senior Concerns to help support the organization’s programs for seniors and family caregivers. The generous donation will provide invaluable funding for Senior Concerns’ Adult Day Program, Meals On Wheels, Caregiver Support Center and Senior Advocacy Program.

According to Bill Rudzinskas, Subaru of America District 1 Sales Manager, Ladin Subaru’s efforts helped raise the most funds for a local nonprofit in all of District 1, an area that spans from Ventura County to Fresno to Santa Monica. “It is part of our culture at Subaru to support causes important to our employees, retailers and owners, and we are proud of having continued that tradition for 11 consecutive years,” Bill shared.

This is the fifth consecutive year Ladin Subaru has partnered with Senior Concerns on the Share the Love Campaign. During the campaign period, which begins in November of each year, Subaru customers have the opportunity to select a charity to which a donation of $250 from every vehicle sale will be donated. Along with a select group of national charities, local Subaru dealers select one community-based non-profit to support.

“Ladin Subaru has chosen to work with Senior Concerns during the Share the Love campaign in order to do what we can to help our growing community of seniors and family caregivers,” shares Helen Ladin Faga, Finance Manager at Ladin Subaru.  “We are honored to help the seniors in our community to live life with dignity, to be able to enjoy a nutritious meal, and to stay in their homes for as long as possible.”

Furthering its support of seniors in the community, Ladin Subaru is partnering with Senior Concerns as the Title Sponsor for this year’s Love Run, planned for Sunday, June 2 in Westlake Village. The Love Run provides funding for Senior Concerns’ Meals On Wheels Program, and ensures homebound seniors in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park have access to freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals 365 days per year through home delivery by a team of dedicated volunteer drivers. “As a community we are aging and the number of people needing the services provided by Senior Concerns is at an increasing rate,” said Andrea Gallagher, President of Senior Concerns.  “The generous support of Ladin Subaru and Subaru of America comes at a truly vital time when we are seeing a growing need for services to help support the seniors and family caregivers in the community. We cannot do the work we do without the generous support of folks like the team from Ladin Subaru.
