Senior Concerns is pleased to announce a partnership with Hospice of the Conejo to present a free weekly grief support group for seniors who need help to recover from the loss of a spouse or significant other. This new support group is offered in addition to the four support groups that are currently offered by Hospice of the Conejo every week at the Goebel Adult Community Center.

Starting Tuesday, July 14, 2015 and held weekly at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road in Thousand Oaks from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the support group is designed specifically to not only guide seniors through the grief process, but also to create a positive and supportive foundation from which they can heal and move forward with their lives.

Hospice of the Conejo therapist Laura Ayala Clark, MS, LMFT, will lead the support group sessions. With over 25 years of experience as a family therapist, Clark has helped hundreds of seniors learn how to recover from profound grief.

There is no cost for the Caring Companions support group. To learn more and reserve your place, please call Senior Concerns at 805-497-0189 or Hospice of the Conejo at (805) 495-2145. To learn more about grief support groups for other age groups, please contact Hospice of the Conejo.
