Our amazing fundraisers

Magic can happen when a group of volunteers get together with a mission and vision, and that’s exactly what is happening with Senior Concerns’ newly formed, all-volunteer Fundraising Committee.

Chaired by Senior Concerns’ Board Chair Patricia Jones, the Fundraising Committee is tasked with planning a series of events to raise at least $50,000 for Senior Concerns by June 30, 2017. This energetic group of friends of Senior Concerns has been meeting on a bi-weekly basis to plan and execute a series of fun and unique events open to the community.

Among the events the group is planning is a Party Boat Bash that will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2017.  Guests will meet at the Westlake Yacht Club and board private boats for wine and light appetizers while enjoying a relaxing cruise around the lake. Following the lake cruise, guests will gather back at the Westlake Yacht Club for dinner and dessert, music and dancing, a small live auction and a 50/50 raffle.

The group is also planning a Sunday Jazz Brunch featuring a live jazz band, delicious brunch buffet and door prizes.  The event will take place in the Fall of 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Westlake.

“Volunteers are an integral part of Senior Concerns,” shared Andrea Gallagher, President of Senior Concerns. “These events, as well as our major events the Love Run and Ultimate Dining, could not happen without the help of community members who so generously give of their time and talents. We are truly grateful for the partnership we have with these wonderful friends and supporters.”
