Event proceeds benefit Senior Concerns Kym and Jerry Douglas Senior Concerns will host the 28th annual Ultimate Dining Experience on Sun., Sept. 15 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village. At 5 p.m. the doors open to chef’s samplings and beer and wine tasting in the garden, along with a silent auction and live music. This year’s silent auction includes trips, fine wines, tickets to premier events and special one-of-a-kind, buy-it-now experiences. At 7 p.m. attendees will move to the ballroom for a three-course dinner with wine pairing, program festivities and a live auction. The event will showcase the culinary creations of fine dining restaurants and caterers from the greater Conejo Valley, as well as top vineyards and breweries from across California. The celebrity hosts are Kym and Jerry Douglas. Kym Douglas is an author and television beauty expert who is a regular on “The Ellen Show,” “The Doctors” and “The View.” Jerry Douglas is a television and film actor who has portrayed patriarch John Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” for 25 years. This year’s event will highlight chef’s cuisine from the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, I’d Rather Be Baking, Mastros, May’s Kitchen, North Ranch Country Club, Paul Martin’s American Grill, Westlake Culinary Institute and the Westlake Village Inn.   Paired with the food will be featured wines from Magnavino, Opolo, Sunland Vintage Winery and Cielo Malibu Estate Vineyard as well as microbrewed beer from The Lab. The event will raise money for Senior Concerns’ new program, the Caregiver Support Center, which provides family consultations, information, resources and respite to family caregivers throughout eastern Ventura County.
