The Goebel Community Adult Center sponsors programs, activities, classes and trips. Because your mother knows no one at the center, she might hesitate to take that first step, but I think you can overcome that problem. The center has monthly orientation meetings to make newcomers more comfortable on their first visit. You may come along with her if you would like. The next orientation is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Sept. 18. Visitors will get an overview of the center’s activities and services and tour the facility.
